We left Billings under sunny skies. At 8 a.m. continued through the plains desert looking at the rolling hills and sagebrush. We stopped at The Little Big Horn Battlefield National Monument.
The ranger there gave a very good talk about the battle. We took a six-mile drive through the various sections of the battlefield. Simba slept, as she isn’t interested in history.We continued on through eastern Montana into Wyoming and dry camped for the night in Gillette, WY at a Flying J.
